If your family needs someone to talk to, there is help.
Our structured coaching programme helps you turn your concerns into clear words, firm boundaries, and the ability to follow through in a way that creates the conditions for real change.
When one person’s behavior takes over the home, everyone is affected.
Whether you’re dealing with:
- Addiction that is impacting someone you love, and everyone around them
- A teen or adult child who is stuck, disrespectful, entitled, or unwilling to take responsibility
- An ongoing conflict with a family member that keeps pulling everyone back into the same painful patterns
You’ve tried everything — being patient, being firm, explaining, arguing, rescuing, backing down. And still, everything keeps circling back to the same place.
If You Fail to Plan, You Plan to Fail
Without a clear plan, family members in desperation often make decisions based on fear, guilt, anger, desperation, or wishful thinking.
The family can become trapped in a cycle of wishful thinking, hoping that change will happen without making meaningful changes to their behaviour.
Hope is important. It helps families endure difficult times and reminds us that change is possible. But hope without a plan is merely a day dream. Real change begins when families move from wishing things were different to creating a plan of action.
Our Approach: Be clear, kind, and strong when it matters most.
A Kind Intervention is not an ambush or a surprise confrontation. It’s a step by step guided process that helps you and the family clarify what needs to be said and done. Learn to stay steady when the conversation turns emotional, defensive, or difficult.
1. Know what to say and do
Prepare a clear, compassionate message that communicates what matters without blame, shame, or unnecessary escalation.
2. Know how to say it and follow through
Clarify what is working, what cannot continue, and what follow-through will look like.
3. Know how to hold steady
Prepare for defensiveness, blame, anger, or pleading so your family stays grounded when the conversation gets difficult.
When the stakes are this personal, experience matters.
Kind Interventions is led by David Kaufman and Cori Gould, who bring professional training, lived experience, and years of hands-on work with families navigating addiction, intervention, conflict, and behavioral change.
Together, David and Cori understand how confusing it can be when love, fear, guilt, anger, and responsibility are all tangled together. Their guidance meets you where you actually are — not where you’re supposed to be.
